Malayalam superstar Mammootty's recent film Bazooka has unfortunately been a box-office disappointment. Directed by debutant Deeno Dennis, the highly anticipated Malayalam-language action-thriller released on April 10, 2025, but failed to win over audiences or critics, opening to largely negative reviews.

Bazooka stars Mammootty as the enigmatic 'Mr. Nobody' and features notable actors like Gautham Vasudev Menon, Shine Tom Chacko, and Iswarya Menon. Produced on an estimated budget of ₹25-28 crore, the film struggled commercially, earning around ₹27.35 crore worldwide during its theatrical run. In India, the net collection was approximately ₹13.86 crore, with the lifetime gross crossing ₹16.35 crore domestically and ₹11 crore overseas.

Amid the box office underperformance, fans have been eagerly awaiting the film’s OTT release. Recent reports reveal that the digital streaming rights for Bazooka have been acquired by Zee5. According to Asianet, the Malayalam action-thriller is expected to premiere on Zee5 on June 5, 2025 (Thursday), although an official announcement from the makers or platform is still pending.
