Directed and co-produced by Vivek Agnihotri, The Bengal Files: Right To Life, previously titled 'The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter', has been bankrolled by Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri.

 Based on the real yet untold story of communal violence ahead of independence, the plot of The Bengal Files is centered around the 1946 Calcutta Riots in undivided Bengal. The film boasts a dynamic ensemble including names like Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Namoshi Chakraborty (Mithun Chakraorty's son), Pallavi Joshi, Govind Namdeo and Punit Issar among others.
