Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu stunned with the announcement of a new campaign called "Nothing to Hide" last week. She shared an introductory video on all her social media handles, garnering immense attention — not just for the campaign itself but for a small yet telling detail fans picked up on quickly.

Tattoo Disappearance Noticed by Fans

In the video, Samantha is walking towards the camera and penning "Nothing to Hide" before walking away. It did not take long for keen-eyed fans to realize that the familiar tattoo — associated with her past romance with Naga Chaitanya — was no longer in view. The tattoo, associated with the movie Ye Maaya Chesave (YMC), had been sentimental since it represented the film Samantha and Chaitanya had their first meeting in.

The film was Samantha's debut in 2010 and the start of her off-screen relationship with Chaitanya. The two later got married in 2017 but disclosed their breakup in 2020, filing their divorce in 2021.

Samantha's Tattoo Journey

Fan reactions were poured in, as people pointed out the tattoo's disappearance. "Samantha's YMC tattoo is gone," one user posted, while another added, "It looks like the tattoo has been removed." This comes after previous fan speculation that Samantha was getting tattoo removal for other tattoos associated with her former husband.

In May, the fans observed that another tattoo on her wrist — the words "Create your own reality," said to be a matching tattoo with Chaitanya — was already fading, suggesting a removal process already underway.

Samantha has spoken about tattoos before. In an April 2022 Instagram AMA (Ask Me Anything), a fan questioned whether she would get any new tattoos. She replied honestly, smiling:

"The one thing I would tell my younger self — never, ever get a tattoo. Never. Ever."
